A traffic stop by Quinte West OPP officers on Highway 401 Tuesday led to an impaired driving charge and the seizure of a large quantity of marijuana.
OPP officers stopped a vehicle near Glen Miller Road after discovering the driver was prohibited from driving in Canada.
The driver, 35-year-old Matthew Burdock of Brampton, was charged with impaired driving and a search of the vehicle led to the seizure of over 1 kilogram of marijuana.
He was also charged with possession of marijuana.
A passenger, 26-year-old Michelle Dawes of Brampton also faces a drug charge.
Both appear in Belleville court September 6.
