A local Rotary Club is offering help so young students don’t lose their reading skills as they enjoy the summer holidays.
The Rotary Club of Wellington is sponsoring a free, online reading program for kids aged 4 to 12 as part of Rotary’s worldwide focus
on improving literacy.
Studies show that children lose reading skills over the summer months, but that that doesn’t happen if they spend just
two to three hours each week practicing.
Parents can help their children enrol in the free reading program by going to WellingtonRotary.ca and clicking on the Free Reading
Program logo.
The program offers children thousands of engaging ways to buff up their reading skills.
