The Belleville Police Service responded to 55 calls for service between August 6, 2018 at 5 a.m. and August 7, 2018 at 5 a.m.
Breach of probation
On August 6, 2018, at 10:30 p.m. officers attended at a Dundas Street West business in relation to a suspicious male in their washroom. A 26-year-old Tweed man was found to be breaching several conditions of his probation including a curfew. He was held for a bail hearing on August 7, 2018.
Recovered stolen vehicle
On August 4, 2018 a 1994 Dodge Caravan was reported stolen from a parking lot on Sidney Street.
On August 6, 2018 at 6 p.m. this van was recovered by the Napanee OPP abandoned on Melrose Road in Tyendinaga Township. Any information on the person(s) responsible for this theft can be forwarded to Constable Jeff Smith at jsmith@police.belleville.on.ca or Quinte Crimestoppers.
