Belleville Police Service responded to 65 calls for service from the August 3, 2018 at 5 a.m. to August 4, 2018 at 5 a.m.
Threats
A 23-year-old Belleville man is in police custody after threats were made on Friday night.
Belleville Police say they responded to a call where a female Belleville resident had received threatening messages.
The man is facing charges including making threats and possession of a weapon.
The suspect’s identity is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.
Public intoxication
Belleville Police gave a man a second chance following a disturbance call last night but after officers returned to the home, they weren’t so generous.
Police were called to an apartment complex around 7:30 after it was reported two men in adjacent apartments were arguing.
Officers had both men agree to stay in their own homes before leaving.
Police were called back to the building as the two men were in a physical confrontation.
A 57-year-old man was arrested for public intoxication for his and others’ protection say police.
The man was released this morning.
