A 35-year-old man is being charged, after an officer and another man were assaulted Tuesday afternoon.
Just before 1 p.m., Belleville Police were called to the downtown, where a man was assaulted.
The suspect was then charged with assaulting an officer, and two counts of breaching probation in the incident.
He is being held for a bail hearing.
