Brighton Fire and Rescue is getting a little help from Enbridge Gas Distribution.
Enbridge is partnering with the Fire Marshal’s Pubic Safety Council to purchase firefighting training materials.
The $100,000 donation will be shared between 20 fire departments, including Brighton Fire and Rescue.
Funds will be used to purchase educational materials to enhance life-saving techniques.
Chief Rick Caddick says the donation couldn’t come at a better time and the donation will provide additional resources to help bring their firefighters up to the new standards recently brought into law.
The donation will be made on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in Brighton council chambers.
