Quick action from Belleville Firefighters prevented a blaze from getting out of control in a storage area last night.
Before 8 p.m., crews were called to the gated area at 180 Haig Road for the report of a rubbish fire.
The rubbish was fully engulfed in flames and lots of heavy black smoke was billowing out when firefighters arrrived.
Crews managed to douse the fire in about an hour’s time.
No injuries were reported and no cause of the fire was immediately determined.
