Quinte West council will decide Monday whether or not to provide funding to keep the development of a natural history museum in Trenton moving forward.
The Board of Directors of the as yet to be built museum are just beginning to fundraise and are asking council for $30,000 to pay the salary of its Executive Director until March of next year, when it believes it will be able to sustain itself.
The natural history museum would be associated with Research Castings International, a world class fabricator and preserver of pre-historic skeletons, such as those of dinosaurs.
Research Casting International is based in Trenton.
