A man and woman were arrested after a break-in and subsequent theft of a vehicle from a Bridge Street East residence in Belleville.
Belleville police began an investigation early Thursday morning when it was a reported a home had been broken into. Vehicle keys, a wallet and purse were stolen from the home and then a vehicle was taken.
Late Thursday afternoon, officers located the vehicle at a car park on Cannifton Road and arrests were made.
Thirty-five-year-old Ashley McLean was charged with break and enter, theft of a vehicle and two counts of possession of stolen property.
He appears for a bail hearing Friday.
