The highly contested wpd White Pines wind turbine development is continuing to move forward.
Blades are beginning to go up on the turbines in South Marysburgh in Prince Edward County.
There are nine wind turbines in total in this project with a nameplate capacity of 18.45 megawatts (MW).
The Project will be located within the ward of South Marysburgh and a small portion of Athol.
The White Pines Wind Farm is considered a Class 4 wind facility, and will feed an estimated 52,295,800 kWh annually into the local electricity grid, equivalent to the average annual power use of 3,005 homes.
