It’s often said that fences make for good neighbours and that would seem to be the case when it comes to plans for a housing development in a busy part of the City of Belleville.
At its Monday afternoon meeting, city council will see a letter from lawyers for the owners of the Marc’s No Frills property and an adjacent vacant property asking that a 1.8 metre fence be built to separate the property from a new development being proposed next door.
The lawyer is asking that the construction of a fence be part of the approval process for the proposed 51 townhouse development next door on vacant land at Bell Boulevard and Sidney Street.
