One of the biggest fundraisers for the Multiple Sclerosis Society takes place this weekend.
The MS Bike ride takes place today and hundreds of cyclists are expected to take part.
As of Thursday, there were 42 teams and 243 cyclists registered for the event.
Cyclists will be completing either a 40 km or a 75 km route.
The event begins at 8 a.m. from the Prince Edward Community Centre.
Money raised will help fund research into MS causes and treatments, support programs for people affected by the disease to help them cope and lobby for more flexible income and employment supports.
As of Thursday, over $111,685.04 has been raised accounting for 61 per cent of their $182,500 goal.
