This Saturday, those branded sluts, witches and feminists are reclaiming their power.
The Belleville Slutwalk is taking place this weekend.
The event aims to help spread awareness about sexual violence.
Organizer Elissa Robertson says the event began in Toronto.
Organizers invite community members to dress however they feel comfortable and empowered or in something that connects them to their inner slut, witch or feminist.
The event takes place at the Bulldog Boxing Academy on Front Street beginning at 6 p.m.
The walk through the downtown core begins at 7 p.m.
Roberston says there is one important message they are trying get across.
