There is good news for those who follow Prince Edward County meetings online.
The County has launched a new web portal that will enhance community connections to their local government.
Upgrades to the live streaming service will be streamed through YouTube, to allow for improved sound and image quality.
The CivicWeb portal offers an improved design and navigation for residents.
There is also a closed captioning feature for those who can’t watch meetings with the volume on or for people with hearing impairments.
Mayor Robert Quaiff says council and staff recognize the importance of removing barriers to municipal information and these changes will go a long way toward achieving that.
Clerk Kim White said they are continuously working towards providing more user friendly technology for the public.
