Belleville’s Planning Advisory Committee will consider rezoning a large piece of vacant land east of Sidney Street and south of Bell Boulevard at its meeting Tuesday.
The re-zoning, if approved, will allow for 51 townhomes to be built on the property, which is north of Tracey Street.
Meanwhile, an apartment building is being proposed elsewhere.
The Planning Advisory Committee will see an application to rezone property at Station and Albion Streets to allow for a six-storey building.
The ground floor would be used for commercial purposes.
City staff is recommending approval of both applications.
Belleville’s Planning Advisory Committee meets at 5:30 Tuesday in council chambers.
