Council in Prince Edward County wants to make sure the Wellington water woes are not put on the back burner.
They approved a motion on Thursday afternoon to have staff bring forward a report on the work required to the water system to accommodate further growth.
Council was informed a few months ago by a developer in Wellington that there are water pressure issues and that could be problematic for the real estate and building market there.
Mayor Robert Quaiff says the issue speaks to the housing boom they are seeing.
He says a number of reports will need to come forward in order to help the new council make a decision come budget time.
