A woman was rescued from her sinking car in the Moira River in Belleville late Sunday afternoon.
Two men and a woman, who were in the area of Cannifton Road near the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre, swam out and managed to get a woman out of her car after she lost control of it with it ending up in the river.
The 56-year-old Belleville woman was shaken up but did not require medical attention.
She was charged with careless driving.
The vehicle will be pulled out of the Moira River Monday or Tuesday.
