A renovation project in the children’s area of the Belleville Public Library is going to get a financial boost from the family of a former library staff member who passed away last year.
The family of the late Janet Thompson has donated $20,000 toward the renovations and the money will help provide new furniture, technology, educational toys and literacy stations.
The library’s children’s area renovations are planned for next year and more donations would be gratefully accepted.
CEO of the Belleville Public Library Trevor Pross said the donation was one of the largest the library had ever received.
