The Belleville Police Service responded to 62 calls for service between June 18, 2018 at 5 a.m. and June 19, 2018 at 5 a.m.
Suspicious Person
On June 18, 2018 at 2:18 p.m., police were contacted by a business on Front Street and it was reported that a male was in the store asking to be given merchandise. Investigation revealed that a 38-year-old Belleville male was intoxicated and was subsequently arrested for his own protection. This male was later released and issued a ticket for Public Intoxication.
Mischief
On June 18, 2018 at 6:53 a.m. police attended at a business on Dussek Street in response to a complaint of mischief to property sometime over the weekend. It was reported that unknown person(s) forced entry into a vehicle and caused damage to the vehicle while tampering with the vehicle. Investigation is ongoing.
Thefts
On June 18, 2018 police initiated investigations into seven theft complaints. Thefts from motor vehicles were reported from Moira St. East, Charles St. and Cascade Blvd. The thieves stole property from unlocked vehicles.
