Prince Edward County has received some help from the provincial government to make improved public transit a reality.
Monday it was announced that the county had received a $500,000 grant from the province to be spread over five years for transit improvements.
Prince Edward County council has just recently approved a transit master plan that would work with existing transportation providers such as Deseronto Transit, Quinte Access, and local taxi services to provide more options for residents throughout the county.
