Over $50,000 was raised for cancer research at the Belleville Relay for Life Saturday.
According to the Intelligencer, a total of $52,415 was raised during the six hour event.
The goal had been $85,000 but donations can still be made online by going to relayforlife.ca.
The number of teams at the Belleville event, held at Mary-Anne Sills Park, increased to 29.
The last relay in this part of the province will be run June 22 in Kingston.
