There will be three student trustees around the horseshoe as part of the Hastings Prince Edward District School Board for the upcoming school year.
Ryan Gentle from Trenton High School and Melissa Elliot from North Hastings High School will see their first terms as board members.
Elliot will also serve as the Board’s first Indigenous representative.
Meera Moorthy from Moira Secondary will be returning to serve on the board.
The students are elected from the student senate to have a place at the board level.
Each school has two representatives from secondary schools within the board.
The three students begin their new roles on August 1.
