Efforts will begin to make the business of Brighton council more transparent to the public Monday evening.
At its regular meeting, council will see a long and detailed staff report suggesting numerous amendments to its Procedure By-law.
Many amendments are proposed in a section dealing with the Head of Council, commonly known as the mayor.
Staff for the Municipality of Brighton say there are a number of areas in the current Procedure By-law that compromise accountability and transparency.
