Organizers of some local Canada Day celebrations are getting a funding boost.
MP Neil Ellis announced today that Quinte West and Prince Edward County will share $16,000 from the Celebrate Canada program, which has funded more than 1,500 projects and events across the country.
Quinte West’s main festivities will, as usual, be held at Centennial Park, while Downtown Picton will host the majority of the Canada Day events in the County.
Both will include fireworks and more details will be announced as Canada Day gets closer.
