Old Highway 2 west of Belleville was closed for a while Friday night and early Saturday morning after a young man was hit by a vehicle.
The man was unconscious and was rushed to hospital.
Quinte West firefighters and Hastings-Quinte paramedics responded.
OPP closed the highway between Wallbridge-Loyalist and Montrose Roads after the collision which occurred before 10 o’clock.
Police re-opened the road shortly before 6 a.m.
