A Belleville Police officer’s keen observation led to the arrest of a wanted woman early this morning.
Around 12:45 a.m., the officer on patrol noticed the familiar woman walking over the North Front Street bridge carrying two bags.
After a brief investigation in which the officer noticed a tattoo confirming her identification, police arrested the 29-year-old Belleville woman on outstanding warrants and took her into custody.
She faces charges of four counts of theft under $5000, assault, disguise with intent, two counts of possession of property obtained by crime, failing to appear for the Identification of Criminals Act, and breach of an undertaking.
She has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
