Two people have been arrested in connection with a bank robbery in Brighton late last month.
A man went into the CIBC on Main Street, on May 25 and passed the teller a note demanding money, before getting away in a blue Dodge Dakota pickup.
Yesterday, the Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement Squad arrested the pair, near Havelock, in a vehicle that had been stolen from the Halton Region.
Police seized a stun gun, collapsible baton and other break and enter tools.
Thirty-three-year-old Andrew Aaron Lamore of no fixed addres is charged with:
– Robbery with Violence
– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – Over $5,000 (two counts)
– Fail to Comply with Probation Order (two counts)
– Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition
– Possession of Break-in Instruments
– Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
-Theft of Motor Vehicle
Twenty-nine-year-old Marcie Lea Haase of Mississauga is charged with:
– Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition
– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – Over $5,000
– Possession of Break-in Instruments
– Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
Lamore has a bail hearing in Cobourg today while Haase was released with a promise to appear in Cobourg Court on July 18.
