A 28-year-old Belleville man has pled guilty to eight charges after abandoning his dog in December.
According to the OSPCA, they received a call in December 2017 about abandoned animals at a property.
Officers found a dog inside a crate covered in feces and no food or water available.
Wesley Barr appeared in court on Monday and was sentenced to a five year prohibition on owning, caring for or living with animals and a five year probation.
The dog is being cared for and is in the process of being re-homed.
