Over $156,000 has been given back to the community thanks to one organization.
100 Women Who Care Quinte met on Wednesday night and they voted to make a donation of over $10,000 to Abigail’s Learning Centre.
The Centre aims to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children and parents so they can overcome barriers, explore opportunities and achieve their full potential.
The donation will help them to serve more families in need of assistance to finish school and get into the work force, and by providing the best care for their children while they do so.
The group meets four times a year and votes on randomly selected charities to donate to.
