To help the United Way of Hastings and Prince Edward celebrate their 60th anniversary, they are holding a community challenge.
They are asking community leaders, businesses, organizations and individuals to take part in small acts of community generosity between June 26 and July 26.
The #UW60for60 challenge is asking participants to choose a task that will take either 60 seconds or 60 minutes and will make their community a better place.
Executive Director Kathy Murphy says that our communities are stronger, more successful and prosperous when we care for one another and reach out to give a bit of ourselves to those who most need it.
It can be as simple as cleaning a park in your community or helping a neighbour bring groceries into the house.
Post your commitment on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and you can win a prize from the Quinte Mall.
The United Way’s Day of Caring is June 26.
