There has been a minor freight train derailment west of Brighton.
It happened late this morning, near Peters Road, in Cramahe Township.
A CN Rail spokesperson says two cars were involved, no dangerous goods or injuries were reported and a cause is under investigation.
Meanwhile, Via Rail says the issue has led to a backlog in its service on Montreal to Toronto and Ottawa to Toronto routes.
Via is apologizing for the inconvenience and says its staff will continue to provide the best customer service given the circumstances.
