The City of Quinte West’s commitment to increase community engagement is moving along.
Community Engagement Officer Hannah Brown was hired late last year and gave council a brief Monday, on the ongoing strategies being developed to increase the connection between the municipality and its residents.
Brown tells Quinte News a strong community engagement plan can help to improve decision making and create more outcomes that citizens are happy with.
Brown says the strategy will be put in place for some select upcoming projects but as the city becomes more comfortable with the process it will be used more often.
