A special event was held Friday to welcome six newly recruited doctors to Prince Edward County.
All six have joined the Prince Edward Family Health Team within the past two years and are actively practicing in the community.
Members of the PEC Physician Recruitment Working Group say their efforts seem to be starting to pay off and it was important to host the welcome event to show community support.
Last year, PEC committed $20,000 towards the doctor recruitment effort and the work continues to bring more doctors to the area.
