Pangs of guilt may have caused a man to turn himself in to Belleville police Thursday.
Recently, city police began an investigation after it was alleged a son had stolen his mother’s bank and credit cards.
A 55-year-old Belleville man surrendered to police and was subsequently charged with two counts of stealing credit cards and two counts of using a stolen credit card.
He will not be identified to protect the identity of the victim.
He has a court date in July.
