The Wellington District Lions Club has made another donation to the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation.
The Lions Club handed over a cheque for $1,000 today, towards the foundation’s annual fundraising campaign, to purchase medical equipment for various units at the Picton hospital.
That equipment includes a new stretcher for ultrasound procedures, a ventilator for the emergency department, various monitors, wheelchairs and other devices.
This year the foundation is trying to raise $289,724.
