On May 30, 2018 at 7:39 p.m., police responded to a shopping centre in the north portion of the city for a report of a female trying to leave without paying for merchandise. An investigation revealed a white female wearing a white dress and a white hat with similar gray design attempted to leave the business after being discovered by security in an attempt to get away with the property and avoid paying. When observed and spoken with, the woman ran off to an awaiting motor vehicle with an unknown driver. All merchandise was recovered at the scene. Please see below photos of the female suspect and the vehicle which has licence plates HLB-395 from Newfoundland and Labrador attached. The female is described as being between 35 and 45 years of age, with blondish-brown shoulder-length hair. She spoke English with no accent, and was quick to run away to the vehicle in the photo below. Police are continuing this investigation.
