Members of Centre Hastings council will discuss giving themselves a pay hike at their meeting Wednesday.
Staff in Centre Hastings looked at the pay of mayors, deputy mayors and councillors in Centre Hastings, Stirling-Rawdon, Tweed, Marmora and Lake and Bancroft.
The average pay for mayor was $17,623, for deputy mayor the average was $13,742 and councillors pay was $12,177.
Staff is recommending pay increases matching the average for the new council in Centre Hastings starting next year.
Currently in Centre Hastings, the mayor receives $14,752, the deputy mayor $11,064, while councillors are paid $9,835.
