There is some unfortunate news for those looking forward to the Belleville Kiwanis Club’s Family Kite Day on Sunday.
Organizers have decided to cancel the event due to the looming weather forecast.
They say “the combination of a 70% chance of thunderstorms and kite flying doesn’t seem like a very safe choice” and the event will be rescheduled.
However, the annual chicken bar-b-q set for June 6 is still a go, rain or shine.
