The new hospital in Picton is $3,000 closer to its goal thanks to a donation from a local business to the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation.
The cheque was presented by Picton Home Hardware this morning to foundation directors Leo Finnegan and Fran Donaldson.
Picton Home Hardware is the first business to publicly commit to supporting the new hospital and has now donated $4,300 to the “Back the Build Campaign”.
Since 2010, the store has donated a total of more than $31,200 to the hospital foundation for various equipment purchases and facility upgrades.
