A Belleville City Councillor is the first name in for the top job in Belleville.
Mitch Panciuk announced Thursday morning on The Lorne Brooker Show the following.
Panciuk says he has been receiving lots of encouragement over the past several years.
He adds his experience on council, and other boards has helped prepare him for the next step.
He thinks there might be another way to invest going forward.
The Mayoral candidate says it might be time to invest more in the arts and culture sector, and more affordable and
rental housing. Panciuk says he wants to push for more skills training so young people move to and move back to
Belleville to settle down and raise families, saying there are thousands of jobs available in the region that go unfilled.
