Eldon Burchart doesn’t talk trash, he tosses trash. Of course the garbage he’s throwing lands where it should, either in a landfill or in a recycling facility.
Tuesday night at a meeting of Quinte West council, Burchart was recognized by council for his 16 years of service in the annual Quinte Trash Bash.
For is part, Burchart, who’s worked for Lower Trent Conservation, said he’s enjoyed his time with the cleanup event each spring but that he was leaving it in good hands, as it’s now expanded and more garbage than ever is being disposed of.
