Kelli-Anne Maycock put her training to use during a tragic accident in Prince Edward County last summer.
The teen, who is a trained lifeguard was awarded a Civic Recognition Award on Tuesday night at Shire Hall for her assistance following a motorcycle accident outside her home on August 12, 2017.
According to OPP Staff Sgt. John Hatch of the Prince Edward Detatchment; Maycock “displayed unbelievable composure, compassion, decision-making, and leadership.”
Maycock was nominated for the award by Councillor Brad Nieman.
