Prince Edward County Council is lending a helping hand to those who help make sure baseball remains a thriving sport in the County.
On Tuesday night, council approved a motion from CAO James Hepburn to fund the installation of an electronic scoreboard in Wellington.
Earlier this month, volunteers from the Prince Edward County Minor Baseball Association appeared in front of council asking for funding to install a scoreboard, which is currently sitting in storage.
Acting Mayor Dianne O’Brien says this is just the right thing to do.
The funding of up to $6,000 will come from the Capital Sustainability Reserve.
