Quinte West OPP are issuing some reminders to ATV riders after their holiday weekend enforcement blitz.
Numerous ATVs were stopped and checked, with several riders being ticketed for various offences.
Riders are reminded that if you’re using an area trail, a permit from the Eastern Ontario Trails Alliance is required.
You’ll also need to have a valid permit and plate for your vehicle, proper insurance and all the required safety equipment, including an approved helmet.
Riders are also reminded that you should only be carrying passengers if your ATV is designed to do so.
