Centre Hastings OPP have released the numbers from last week’s Canada Road Safety Week initiative.
Officers handed out 154 tickets for speeding, one for street racing, four for improper seat belt use, seven for distracted driving and 34 other offences.
There were also three watercraft related tickets handed out.
Among the most serious offenders, police say a 41-year-old from Coe Hill was clocked going 38 kilometres per hour above the speed limit on Highway 62 and was found to be driving with no licence or proof of insurance.
Drivers on highways, waterways and trails are all being asked to be extra cautious as we head into the summer, with those routes all becoming more busy in the coming months.
