Prince Edward County council is expected to decide on a by-law allowing rock concerts and other events on vacant farmland near East Lake at its meeting tonight.
The council chamber was filled with residents of the area last week when council looked at a request from a property owner for outdoor events to be allowed with as many as 5,000 people in attendance.
Council made no decision at that time.
Tonight, staff is recommending a temporary use by-law allowing three musical events, including an April Wine concert, allowing a maximum of 1,500 people and one other cultural event allowing a maximum of 500 people.
Prince Edward County council meets at 7 o’clock tonight (Tuesday) at Shire Hall.
