The Belleville Police Services Board will see the first quarter crime stats for 2018 at its meeting today (Tuesday).
A report to be submitted shows the number of reported crimes was down by about 150 incidents and the clearance rate was also down 3%, to 60%.
There was a slight drop in the number of robberies and break and enters, but an increase in vehicle thefts and sex offenses, with 11 and 48 respectively.
The board will also get updates on street crimes and violent crimes, community and courthouse patrols and more.
The Belleville Police Board meets this morning at 10:00 at Belleville City Hall.
