Officers from the Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are reminding operators of All Terrain Vehicles (ATV) and other off-road vehicles to play safe this holiday weekend.
People can expect to see the OPP patrolling roads and trails in the City of Quinte West during the long weekend in an attempt to keep operators safe.
Police are reminding riders helmets save lives and failure to wear one while operating your off-road vehicle can cost you $110 in fines.
All ATVs and 0ff-road vehicles must be properly plated and insured to legally operate on the trails and roadways.
