Frank Pucci notched Wellington’s only goal late in the first period on the man advantage, with assists going to Mason Snell and Ben Evans.
Jonah Capriotti stopped 24 of 26 Ottawa shots in the loss, while former Belleville Bulls netminder Connor Hicks made 20 saves in the win.
The Dukes are off Sunday before taking on the Steinbach, Manitoba Pistons on Monday night. That one starts at 10 p.m. Eastern Time.
