Quinte West OPP are looking into the theft of copper from a commercial business in the city.
Investigators say early this morning someone cut the fence of a secure compound on West Street and stole a bunch of scrap copper.
Anyone with information can call Quinte West OPP or Crime Stoppers.
Meanwhile, a 16-year-old has been charged after a single vehicle crash in Hastings Highlands on Tuesday.
Police responded to Musclow Greenview Road late in the evening, where the car had gone off the road and hit a tree, injuring five people between the ages of 15 and 19.
All five were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries and later released.
The 16-year-old driver has been charged with careless driving and has a future court date in Bancroft.
No names were released.
